Installing Numba in OS X 10.10

$ brew install llvm33 --rtti
$ git clone https://github.com/llvmpy/llvmpy.git
$ cd llvmpy
$ LLVM_CONFIG_PATH=/usr/local/lib/llvm-3.3/bin/llvm-config python setup.py install
$ python -c "import llvm; llvm.test()"
$ pip install numba

UPDATE

$ brew install llvm37 --rtti
$ git clone https://github.com/numba/llvmlite
$ pip2 install enum34  # or just pip, if you don't have python3
$ cd llvmlite
$ LLVM_CONFIG=/usr/local/Cellar/llvm37/3.7.1/bin/llvm-config-3.7 python2 setup.py install
$ LLVM_CONFIG=/usr/local/Cellar/llvm37/3.7.1/bin/llvm-config-3.7 pip2 install numba

  1. Awesome blog.. helped me a lot. I was struggling to install numba on OSX and all the methods on stackexchange or other places were outdated and didn't work
